Red, Yellow, Blue and Green

2009 has brought forth new challenges and opportunities for the children of Infantil II. For some it’s their first year in school, for others their first time sleeping at school, and for most their first time taking swimming, phys ed and English classes. Despite the fears and tears we have had a great time conquering these new challenges.



Over the last few weeks the students have come to adjust well to their new environment and also to a new language. The students are quickly learning commands like “stand up”, “sit down”,” come here”, and “take a shower”. They are also starting to produce the language by making requests such as “please”, and “water please”. They are also singing along to class favorites like Baby Bumble Bee, The Shark Song and Wheels on the Bus.





Infantil II has also started to explore color. Every Monday we find a clue in the classroom that indicates what that week’s color will be. First our teacher wore a red t-shirt, then we found yellow stars all over the classroom and last week we found a Blue’s Clues DVD and book. This week the color adventure continues as we learn what happens when we mix yellow and blue together.
