Together with the chemistry teachers, 10th grader students have made in the lab an electric cell. In October they studied how the cell work, they disassembled a dry cell saw how it functioned and built an electric one.
The students had a chance to manipulate all the proper tools and equipment at the lab, transforming this learning experience in a true experiment.
The adequate mixture.
The electrodes cleaning.
As a result they were able to light a 1,5V light bulb, through a chemical reaction.
