Computer software complements chemistry classes

The students from Centro Educacional Leonardo da Vinci can exercise their chemistry knowledge using the computer. To complement the theoretical classes, the school offers a variety of software that facilitates learning.



An example is the study of the periodic table. To know the chemical elements and its reactions better, the students use a game where they can dispute who gets more questions right. The computer allows each one to study in his own rhythm. Whenever any doubt appears, the student calls the teacher, who works on his doubts, individually.



"You can learn a lot and it is very entertaining", assure 9th grade students Fernanda, Luzia and Cláudia.



Prof. Mário Broetto stands out that the games are good for the students to retain the content worked in classroom and are also work as an additional motivation. "The computer offers drawings and graphics that allow a better visualization of the contents taught ", he says.



The software is selected by the Information Systems Coordinator, Rogério da Cunha Abaurre Filho, and discussed with the teachers. Besides Chemistry, the school offers software for Biology, Geography, History, Mathematics, Physics, among other subjects.
