A computer based electronic circuit which controls elevators was developed by the students from the Robotics workshop at Centro Educacional Leonardo da Vinci. They built in wood a scale model of an elevator where they tested the circuit.
The Robotics workshop has the participation of 10 senior high school students. During the experience, they could acquire some knowledge in computer science and also learned how to use domestic tools during the construction of the scale model of the elevator.
The Information Systems Coordinator, Rogério Abaurre, affirmed that the objective of the workshop was reached. "The students developed knowledge in automation, electronic processes and in programming computers".
Wilson, from 1º ano, considered the workshop a good opportunity. It helps me on my future profession ", he said.
The school offers other workshops, such as: home-page design, social etiquette, painting, research methodology and music.
