Before going out to the restaurant, in the classroom, the 4th grade students worked on a menu. Through the specific language and its defined structures, our readers could develop their speech competence and could put it concretely in practice.
Guided by teachers Joanilda and Délia, the students analyzed and elaborated menus, paying attention to every detail: types, order and ways the plates were presented. The price was not forgotten!
The going to a restaurant was organized so that not only one possible learning could happen, but many. So, the students also attended a lecture by Regina Sarkis, Social Etiquette teacher.
The "practice" was tasty. Accompanied by Portuguese and Mathematics teachers, the students went out for lunch to the restaurant Partido Alto, in Camburi, where they could select the dishes with criteria, considering their taste and value.
As a closing for the activity, the students, in classes of Portuguese with teachers Délia and Joanilda, produced reports on the trip and, in classes of Mathematics with teacher Patrícia, they situated the problems they had to solve to accomplish the meal.
