Fish, Friends and an Ocean of Opportunity.

With the current theme focusing on the underwater world, children of Infantil IV-2 have been curiously learning all there is to know about the oceans many sea critters. Through a combination of visual and written activities, our class has been quickly learning the names of different sea animals in an effort to help the children develop their English vocabulary. From coloring activities to interactive fishing games, our class has used a multi-varied approach at teaching the sea theme in order to reach all the different type of learning styles.
With the help of Pedro, Leonardo Da Vinci’s music teacher, the children quickly learned “The Shark Song” which has become a class favorite. It is not an uncommon site to see children singing in English by themselves throughout the day. This spontaneous manifestation of English is an exciting reward for teachers, as the children are beginning to speak on their own. As we head towards the Carnival holiday we are confident our children will be excited to return back to class as the schools 20th anniversary promises to be an exciting and educational year.
