“If You’re Happy and You Know It... Say The End!”

On Friday, July 3rd, the students of Infantil III presented our first semester project, ”All About Me,” for their families, teachers, and friends. The presentation included an exhibition of all of the work done throughout the project showing off a variety of skills and abilities we came to master after studying and working very hard for 3 months.





On display we had our class “Pingos” made from cloth and stuffing, our class mascots, many posters and paintings we all helped to create, lots of photos taken throughout the duration of the project, folders full of activities, our hand made passports and identity cards and best of all, a clay “pingo” which we sculpted, painted, and decorated all by ourselves.







Parents were overwhelmed with pride and joy as students took them through the exhibition to look and explore all that there was on display. The students demonstrated their growth and new abilities by presenting the meaning of their names, each “pingo” and its characteristics, and by singing a song in Portuguese, “De Umbigo a Umbiguinho,” and one in English.

A children’s classic, “If You’re Happy and You Know It,” was sung by the children to show how we learned to express our feelings using English vocabulary. Those watching the presentation got a kick out of the expression and actions the children made in order to demonstrate different emotions, and by far the favorite was our “angry faces.”



The presentation marked the end of our first project and was a beautiful way for the parents to see how much work and how much growth has taken place in Infantil III throughout this first semester.





Congratulations to all the students for their hard work and job well done! Now we can finally sing and say with pride: “If you’re happy and you know it, say THE END.
