Over the last month the students of Infantil II- I have been studying clothes. They first learned the names of each item by dressing up in their teacher´s oversized clothing. The vocabulary has since been reinforced during shower time and throughout various activities.
The most famous of all these activities was of course the t-shirt painting. The students were very excited to paint their own t-shirts and were even more excited to include recently studied Christmas items such as snowman, bells, gingerbread man, tree etc. It was great to see the excitement of all the children as they dressed up in their Christmas t-shirts to go home on Monday afternoon. It was an added bonus that home time was in the classroom as it gave a chance for mom and dad to see the beautiful Christmas tree the children had decorated.
As the year comes to an end I am proud to see my students trying their best to speak in English. I am still amazed at how far they have come, and just how much they are capable of. It has been an amazing year and I would like to thank all the parents for allowing me the opportunity to teach their beautiful children. It has been an experience I will never forget.
Thanks to everyone at Leonardo da Vinci for making my second year here so great. The warmth and kindness of the staff has helped make me feel at home, even though home is really over 8000 km away. I am blessed to have been a part of this program and would like to wish the program, its teachers and its students all the best in the future.
Obrigada por tudo.
