This week in Infantil III-I, we went on a trip to Disney World. All the students got ready by filling out their boarding passes and passports. Then Suzani set up all the chairs into rows like a real airplane. When we got back from afternoon snack, the room was already transformed into an airplane. Suzani stood at the door to receive the tickets as I greeted them inside as their Pilot. Once everybody found their seat, and I did an amazing safety demonstration, it was time to take off. Collectively we vroom-vroom-vroomed up our engines and took off into the sky. As you can see in the photo it was a very wonderful experience.
Upon arrival at Miami Dade International Airport, each student had to go through a thorough and vigorous process at immigration. Everybody had to approach me, the immigration officer, and greet me appropriately. Then they had to get their passport stamped and say ´thank you.´
After going through the harsh immigration process, we were free to play at Disney World, the upstairs park. After a little while it was unfortunately time to go home. Everybody had to pass through immigration again, get their passport stamped, and then board the plane once again. Then it was back to Leonardo Da Vinci, however, the children were forever changed after their visit to Mickey’s home.
Once back at Leonardo, the children drew pictures of what they had seen at Disney World. Some saw Mickey Mouse, some saw Cinderella, and others saw Sleeping Beauty, or the Beast from Beauty and the Beast. It was an amazing time, one that Infantil III-I will be talking about for a long time to come.
