This semester in Infantil III-I, we are looking to the natural world. The concept is intended to open the children`s eyes to importance of protecting our planet. So far it has been a real success. We have been talking about recycling, using less water, and saving electricity. Also, we have been taking care of the stray animals we find in our environment. When a butterfly enters our classroom, we carefully capture it and set it free.
We have also been taking care of a fish that lives in our classroom. What we are getting most excited about are the piles of recyclables we are growing in our classroom. This project is going to become an incredible creation that will change the children`s concept of trash forever. These are very important issue for children to begin to think about at such a young age. Even the smallest consumer can make a difference, and our students seem to think so too. It is a gift to be able to open the eyes of infantil 3 and watch them take the reigns in the fight to protect our world.
