INFANTIL IV INTEGRAL GROWING IN NUMBERS



This is an exciting time to be teaching English in the Infantil bilingual education program at Centro Educacional Leonardo da Vinci. Events of the past few years have made it clear that parents want their children to speak English and to speak it well. This is evident in 2009 with the expansion of Infantil IV Integral into 2 separate classrooms from the one class of the previous year. Some changes were made to accommodate the additional classroom and the playground received improvements as well.



Infantil IV I – 1 started their first week back to school on Monday, February 2, 2009. The first couple of days were naturally spent familiarizing the children with their new environment of the classroom. I was thrilled to see that the ‘virtual aquarium’ Frank ( Infantil IV I – 2) and I had put together, was such a success! It really helped start off the fish theme that we will be exploring the first few weeks of school.

As these young learners begin their educational journey, one can safely assume that with the development of the English language, more windows and doors will be open to them. It is through education that knowledge and information is received and spread throughout the world.
